Heather Gallagher loved talking to people – and writing about it.
So, it made sense when she became a journalist.
She’s worked for the national wire service, Australian Associated Press, and local newspapers including The Melbourne Times and Northcote Leader. She’s also freelanced for numerous publications including The Age, The Big Issue and The Victorian Writer.
One day it dawned on Heather that it was more fun to make stuff up.
So, she began writing for kids. Her published works include two picture books Scaredy Cat and Happy Pants and a chapter book, Ferret on the Loose.
Currently Heather spends her days as a journalist, children’s author and speaker. Writing, making stuff up and (still) talking…
